Qigong Energy Medicine Info:
Treatments promote relaxation of the nervous system and enable self-healing.
What does Qigong Medicine do for the patient? The medicine of qigong encourages the free flow of qi throughout the acupuncture channels/meridians of the body. The practitioner uses their own body’s electrical potential as a conduit for flow for the patient. Where there is free flow, there is no pain - both psychologically and physically. Kit’s goal with energy work is to promote your authentic freedom in all arenas of your life.
How does this work remotely? We are all connected. Qigong theory discusses a large grid of information/energy/qi that exists between everything - in the in-between spaces. This could be considered similar to the microcosm of our own bodies’ interstitial spaces, which are activated by acupuncture. The theory also discusses a specified field of qi around each human (and living being). With your permission, Kit will use your full legal name to make a request to access your qi field. First a barrier of protection is made through prayers to the Divine, and then the field is called in to Kit’s location. Once the field has been accessed, the work for Kit is the same as in-person. The patient will feel the treatment much the same whether the work is remote or in-person. The level of this depends on each person’s natural sensitivities to energy flow. It is not required to feel the push/pull of the the work in order to access the benefits of free-flow and relaxation.
How does a Qigong Treatment compare to an Acupuncture Treatment? They address the same problems in a similar fashion. Both acupuncture and energy work can basically do 3 things: Add energy (motility or warmth) to a deficiency, Remove energy from something that is in excess (too much cold, damp, phlegm, heat etc), or Move energy that is stuck (blood clots, congested intestines etc.). This is a simplified way of explaining the work, but it is accurate!
How should I prepare for a treatment? It is best to book on a day/time that will allow for rest after the treatment. Please also eat a snack within 1-2 hrs ahead of the treatment so that you are not extra tired after the treatment. Integration of the treatment can take weeks to months or it can be immediate. It is different everytime, just come ready to try to relax. The more you relax, the more work can be done.
How is Qigong Meditation different from Qigong Medicine? In the meditation, the practitioner is often in a stationary standing pose. Their mind is focused on both balancing the flow of qi in their body as well as relaxing their body and mind. With the medicine, the practitioner is using the wisdom and capabilities of flow that they have gained during their meditation practices to push and pull the energies within their patient’s body and qi field. They are using their advanced focusing abilities to spiritually see inside their patient or to hear their patient’s Higher Self so as to uncover the root cause of any disharmony.
Is Qigong a Spiritual Practice? Since qigong accesses your own deep inner wisdom, there is an aspect of spiritualism to the practice. The practice is not exclusive to any religion, and may be safely practiced within or without a religious framework.
How do the sessions go? We usually start with a video conference and then switch to a phone call for the treatment. At that time you can lay down and gather some blankets and pillows so that you can relax well.
Can I learn to practice Qigong Meditation with you? Yes, I train individually or two people can call in from the same computer for a duo-session. Learning to meditate in a standing posture is the most useful thing you can actively do to balance metabolism and mitigate your stress responses. By relaxing while holding a standing form, the body learns to remain relaxed throughout the day, no matter what happens.
